TRIAL: CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics - 88th Edition

We have a trial of CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics - 88th edition until 14th December 2007.

To access this trial go to HBCP Online and login with the trial username and password. This current edition would require an annual subscription.

We have already purchased the 84th Edition online in perpetuity. It does not yet appear in the catalogue but it will soon.After trying the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics please leave a comment - will the 84th edition do, or do we need a subscription to the latest edition?

IEEE Xplore downtime Saturday 10th November

On Saturday 10th November the IEEE will implement an upgrade to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

As a result, users will experience approximately 2-4 hours of downtime on that date, between 2pm and 6pm GMT. A message will be posted to the IEEE Xplore homepage to alert people to the planned downtime.

This update includes the following features:

• Tabbed search results, including a beta test of Application Notes, practical content for working engineers
• Citation (Known Item) search, Refworks/BibTeX citation download, and improved author search
• Subscriptions to IEEE Expert Now educational courses available through the IEEE Xplore platform

Current Protocols contains the largest collection of authoritative, peer-reviewed, regularly-updated research methods and topical overviews available.
