New developments in Scopus

The Scopus database has enhanced some of the services it provides to make it more useful. They include:

  • More Pre-1966 Records : Scopus has begun an initiative to add millions of pre-1996 abstracts in chemistry, physics, mathematics and social sciences.
  • RSS Feeds : You can now setup an RSS feed with just one click.
  • HTML Feeds : HTML feeds allow you to convert your Scopus search result/RSS feed into an HTML version that can then be displayed on any website. Besides article title, a feed can now also display cited-by count, publication year, source title and the first 5 author names of the article. You can customis an HTML feed to share the look and feel of your page. All article titles in such an HTML feed are linked back to Scopus.
  • Exact Author Searching : This should help you refine an author search. Choose “show exact matches only” check box on the Author Search form, Author Selection and Author Lookup pages.
